Default Installing new wood and top 29 ccpu

I have all the wood and is glued and screwed together.
1. should I use caulking where the wood sits on the windshield header, like dynaflex black exterior from HD and the cab corners and across the back of cab?
I have all the material to install a new top, and will wait for a hot day.
2. do I use any sealer on the welting, or after the hidem goes on should I peal it back at the top and run a small bead of sealer?

thanks

Probably too late but you really do not want to glue the pieces together as you need the wood to flex. Mechanical fasteners only allow for this.

There was not any sealer used originally. If you wish to use a sealer that is not corrosive to the metal, it won't hurt anything. Consider using seam sealer available at automotive paint suppliers.

Using black automotive seam sealer is fine on areas other than two fabric (upholstery) mated areas.
