Default Different Cowl Lacing Thicknesses

I swear I have seen this topic before here, but I'll be darned if I can find it again:

I have a 29 Murray TS and the hood sits lower (steps down) than the top of the cowl by about 3/16". I see no way of adjusting this.

I read here (I'm sure it was here) that the Town Sedans used a thicker cowl lacing to make up for the extra thickness of the cowl versus that of the standard cowl. I spent some time searching the forums, but cannot find it again...

Questions are: Where can one source this thicker lacing? Is lacing the answer to the step-down?

Thanks in advance!
Steve
