Default Convertible Sedan Top

I am working on my 35 convertible sedan top. The frame is intact as best as I can tell with the exception of the wood header that sits on the windshield.

I found convertible top kits for the convertible sedan but they don't include the wood header. A local top shop can install the top but can't fabricate the wood header.

I have side posts and thumb screws. I know I will need those side post rubber seals. But I could be missing more.

Does any know where I can find a exploded view of the sedan's top framework? I might need parts that I don't even know. Like what hardware is needed to secure the header to the windshield. Or seals around the windshield.

So far I have not found any help with Google searches. If any of you have pictures or advice it would be appreciated.

I bougth one several years ago from Brad’s Woodshop, Friday Harbor, WA (360)-378-3886 Wood Kits for Early V8 Fords. Top quality. The cabriolet and convertible sedan headers are the same. There is a seal that goes on the bottom of the header to the windshield. PM me your e-mail and i will see if I can find my pics of that area.

rbassemir, Your question is fairly complex, So let me start by answering the first part about where to get a wooden header for your 1935 convertible sedan. I would try Superior Car Parts or Oak Bows
http://www.superiorcarpartsinc.com/c...item-1250.html
or Oak Bows Chambersburg, Pa 717-264-2602.
I will need to see photos of your top irons and other top parts before I can advise you on what else you need. I have drawings of various top parts, but they will not reproduce well on this Forum. Please contact me at [email protected] so I may help you further.

Looks like Brad's Workshop is gone. Phone number was disconnected. Yelp had no reviews. the address was 1528 San Juan Dr, Friday Harbor, WA.... maybe yelp is out of date
