Default 29 Closed Cab Pickup Window Winder Handle

Could anyone assist me with any advise on removing the pin from the window winder handle, so that I can remove the handle to remove the regulator.
The handle has the sprung type chrome bezel behind it, which makes it very difficult to hold back, whilst attempting to knock the pin through.
Any advise would be appreciated.

I have not found ant trick to doing this. I just push in on the escutchion as much as I can with one hand, then drive the pin on the handle with a small punch in the other hand

I do it just as Ed said, but I use a piece of stiff wire, such as a paper clip. The pin is a loose fit and held in place by the escutcheon.

Speaking of 28/29 CCPU window regulators, are they the same coupe and tudor window regulators? I see in model A parts catalogs, truck window regulators are listed with coupe and tudor regulators, but sometimes parts vendors take some liberties in what items fit (i.e. they might need some "fitting" or modifications).
