Another with another PIA battery removal!
Hi all, seems three of my toys all need batteries at the same time. My ‘40 pickup is the latest problem child! I don’t remember installing the optimum red top that’s in it but obviously was a stronger younger guy w a better back. It’s in the stock location right side under hood in tray against fire wall. I need ideas on how to get it out without causing another back surgery
Ideas or experiences getting out?

Exactly. A younger strong helper is the way to go. Have everything ready and it'll take very little time.

optimum batt is very light. have you tried to remove it. if your health prevents this ask any younger man to do it for you. there safe to handle & no danger of leaking acid

Re: Another with another PIA battery removal!
Younger guy would prolly have a hard time too! My optimum red top weighs 43 lbs according to specs. Getting it up & out from against the firewall next to the inner fender w the fat fender outer adjacent to its would wreck even a young back. I’ll drag my engine cherry picker out & figure out how to do it!. Also no handle on it like other optimums!
