It's not really a secret on my end, just mostly useless information unless you are doing this type of mod. And even at that still useless without a lot of additional information to go with it! Anyone that wants any of the detailed info, including part numbers, just let me know.

JSeery , did you assemble the axle tubes on the center section, then slide a shaft through the assembly with a guide on each end to line up the 9” bearing ends before welding? I realize this is a older thread

As you completed all the welding on the bells prior to this last step, any warping that happened to the bells is not as much of a concern as the alignment bar aligned the ends correctly. Fitment is extremely important - so the trimmed bells and the axle/bearing ends are square to each other before tacking/welding. |
