Default Happy New Year to ALL

Well, It's a little early but I am attending a funeral service for a long time car collector friend today. I was 3 when we met him and his wife, but have known them ever since. He started at a very young age with Model T's & Model A's with his Dad, but the family timber business afforded him the ability to collect a higher grade of automobile. He was a "hot rodder" of sorts in his collection of brass era cars, the fastest of the era and a few subtle modifications to make them a "little" quicker.......A Lozier and two Mercer's and all three FINE automoblies. He never missed the opportunity to take all three of them out and "Run" them, regularly hit 80 + mph in all three....an experience let me tell you on wood spoke wheels!!! The 14 Mercer we were doing close to 90 on I 95 one trip and what a thrill it was!!!!

Anyway, to all you here on the Barn....Happy and Healthy New Year wishes and blessings. Know that somewhere along your life, you have impacted a young 3 year old kid at some point (and now a 57 year old kid today) and that your memory will live on in them. I think about the B R Bartlett's, Larry Montondo, Pete McKluski, Joe RIviski's of my youth and NOW the DavidG, Deuce Lover, Coopman, 19Forty, Koates, KUBE and many more here on the barn that have influenced, helped and educated me and just how grateful I am for what effect you have had in my life. THANK YOU and know that your Legacy lives on with me or that kid somewhere along your past!!!!!

Happy New Year Rob, and to everyone else here on The Barn. These years seem to be passing faster and faster for me, but I feel fortunate to have been able to post here and to learn so much from others in the last 22 years. Be happy and safe in the new year, Enjoy this great hobby and the nice vehicles you own!!

The new year adds a new paragraph to Robert's hobby CV as he was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Early Ford V8 Club of America representing the Southeastern Region.

Congratulations, Robert and may the new year be a most happy one for all of the Davis family.
