Default Starter shaft size on 1930 model A

Forgive me for this ignorant question, but I am away from home and do not have my starter in front of me.

Are all 1930 Model A starters equipped with a 5/8" shaft?
I am needing to order a rebuilt one today, and the page specifies that this rebuilt starter has a 5/8" shaft. Just need to know if that's stock. I believe my old starter is stock and need to make sure the Bendix drive will fit.
Car is still 6 volt system.
Thanks for any input.

Yes, order the 5/8. The early starter had a 1/2 inch shaft.

Just a thought, ordering a starter can be expensive, have you thought about a starter shop? They really are tough starters. Now I'm biased as I own such a shop.
Most of the ones we see aren't that bad off. Just a thought.
Also we are very busy and it isn't work we seek but do it locally if they are not in a hurry.
