Default Success with Mac's New and Improved starter Bendix

After going around in circles with a knockoff powermaster mini starter for 2 years, my truck is finally back to normal. I ordered the bendix from Mac's, and dusted off my old starter. The installation was simple. No more grinding from the mini starter. No more broken drive springs from the original. Ya cant beat the sound of a flatty starter winding on 12v!

You shouldn't hear the sound of the starter cranking. These engines should start on the first turn of the starter on 6 volts. They can be started with a hand crank. I suggest you fix the problem with the fuel or ignition. G.M.

It doesnt really "wind"... Its running a unilite dizzy, and the carbs are jetted properly. The whole idea for a 12v conversion is the ease of replacement parts....and halogen headlights. Like all decent running flattys, you just have to blip the button and it fires right up.
