There was a post on the MTFCA forum a while back, but it involved some machine work and was way to fancy for me.
I found a set of chevy disk wheels and with the help of a round spacer plate, I was able to mount the wheels on the T (wood spoke) hub. I used a wood spoke wheel outside hub cover which almost hides all of the old chevy holes. You have to drill new holes in the disk to bolt the disk between the cover and the hub. The spacer is used to bring the wheels to approximately the same position as the wood spokes would have the wheel at.
This worked for me with no problems.
I think you can click on the image for a larger picture. Good luck

As a side note to the above mentioned disc wheels, does anyone know what to make disc wheels from now that plowing disks are all gone? (i have not seen any for a long time now).

Dumbperson, the question was converting a Chevy or Dodge discwheel for use on a model T, not building one out of a plow.

I've seen vintage pictures of sheet metal disks made and attached to the spoke wheels to give the appearance of solid wheels. Seems much easier to me than machine work.

There was a article in SOS magazine Secrets of Speed sometime ago on how some guy made up a set..
I had a hub machined to fit my set of the steel chevys , welded the extra holes up and had them powder coated.
Then as i moved them around the shop decided they weight a ton, and got rid of them after runn ing them on a car for a few tours.
Look good but man are they heavy........the T wires are the way to go i believe....

Oliverguy, Yes someone made covers to fit the front and back side of wood spoke wheels with a cut out spot on the back side to put air in the tube.
You still had to check the wheels for loose spokes which often happens in very dry weather as we are having in parts of Texas this summer.
