Default A Tribute to my Father

Here are some pictures of a perfectly scale model of the Model A engine that my father made from wood carvings and machining about 30 years ago. Thought some might like to see his labor of love. He had a 1930 roadster since he was 16. It is now mine along with a recently purchased 1931 Town Sedan.

The Engine is An Amazing piece of Art, My Dad used his Lathe and produced 5 of these replica 21" wheels which were given as Trophies for the Model A Club Here in Nevada, The guys that grew up with Model A's truly loved them.

Your dad was a true craftsman!
That must have taken many hours of tedious work.

Thanks for sharing RR. The engine is a nicely detailed piece. It took lot's of skill to build that. What scale did your dad use? It is hard to figure out the size from the pictures.

DaveMc that wheel trophy would be a treasured piece by those that received one. Sure beats the $10 plastic trophies at most shows that I have attended which usually end up in a box in the garage.

Man! I wish I was that AWESOME.

I'd love to make stuff like that. I could probably do it if I tried hard enough, but I'd never live long enough to finish it (Like the Judson supercharger I started making 15 years ago).

Thanks for sharing!
