Lloyd Young?
Lloyd Young in Ohio was making BW overdrive set ups for Model As as late as 2015. Does anybody know where his parts may have ended up (assuming not the scrap yard)? I need the coupling that he used.

Re: Lloyd Young?
He passed in 2018 and his collection of about 25 cars were auctioned off later that year.

Re: Lloyd Young?
So for all of you who have helped me here’s where I’m at; I just got off the phone with the man that actually made the needed coupling. Don’t know yet if he has one (he wasn’t sure but probably not) or if he will make me one (he hasn’t committed to it yet).

Re: Lloyd Young?
Gene, the dam thing got lost andI know that the minute I buy a replacement the missing one will show up (I think it’s in the barn of the guy I bought the OD from some time back but he can’t find it). I got a chance to speak with Glenn (now 83), he did the machine work for Lloyd Young on the overdrive conversions. He has agreed to make me one as he still does some machine work as a hobby and he remembers how they were made I just have to get some measurements for him.

Jeepguy1948,
Have the guy make two of them just in case. Bob-A "Skirts are for Women and not Car fenders!" |

Re: Lloyd Young?
Jeep...I feel your pain from frustration.
Over the years I have came across a car or two that I otherwise would have bought, but buying a car that is in pieces, or not all there is a no-no in my mind, for instances just like this one. |
