Hey Ian,
Besides your great good fortune,i.e.-original '32 stash/cars, you seem to have good sense also , as shown by your written thoughts. Welcome to this (mostly)great group. With all your original stuff, you will most likely be able to provide help to others.

BTW...I'm curious about this 'friend' to whom you listened , regarding this site. Is he a member or has ever been a member ? I'm guessing not, because of the inaccurate info that he gave.

Welcome, neighbor!

Well almost. You're only 70 miles away.

As a relatively new 32 owner, I am still struggling with my sedan, and the guys on here are very helpful. Some are more opinionated than knowledgeable, but that's life.
Ask questions, and if you're not comfortable with the answer, keep asking.

If you need physical help or odd parts, PM me. Always look forward to meeting fellow deuce owners. There are a few over this way in the Tri-Cities area.

I will do just that! Thanks for the shout! I feel like my strongest areas are body work. Welding in patches and making chicken *hit look like chicken soup. One day maybe you can help me and i can help you?

Help is yours for the asking. PM me. We get over there once a month at least as our grand daughter is in UT.

I just reread your last post and basically your friend is wrong. Just keep doing what you are doing and as long as you're not going 350/350/9"/tweed you'll be fine.

Mart.
The only 32 3w that I could afford was a 351/AOD/9"/tweed with no fenders or hood but I really enjoy this forum but I don't say much about my 32, and its a blast to drive. I got a 42 Merc engine that I'm detailing out in a traditional form which makes this forum great. Hang in there, you'll love this place.

Ancient History

Do any of you remember Gary Collie? A wonderful welder.

Had a barn full of 32 5-window parts. Got a new, really new,factory-wrapped OS set of Kingpins from him in 1988.

He was old then, 30 years ago, must have been in his 60's.

Where did all that stuff go? I was in his barn once. It was heaven!!!!

Or is it still there? The world wonders. Thank you, bull halsey.
