Default Should I buy it?

In my search for a closed car, I came across an original 1930 Murray built Town Sedan. Seller is a younger guy who has bought over $3000 worth of parts (tires, brake drums, wiring, weatherstripping). He also replaced all of the shoes, brake rods, and clevises. Original engine to the car (May 1930) started up right away despite it being very cold this morning. No odd sounds with a new waterpump, rebuilt distributor, and new wiring harness.

The wood only "needs" to be replaced on the rear passenger door where it has rotted out. The rest of it is solid and the doors close perfectly. It does need a completely new interior, a new roof, and new glass probably, among some small other things.

My idea is to keep it original because it looks really cool.

The guy wants $5500 for it but I could get to 5 grand I think. With the work in mind, would this be a good buy?
