Re: Paradise, CA
Bill Perry told me he knew of a 32 phaeton from there that was lost. There must be much more.

Re: Paradise, CA
A dear member of the 48-56 FTE group lost his home, including his 48 F1, when he and his extended family fled through the tunnel of fire.
Let's hope the final casualty count doesn't go as high as the early reports on the number of those missing.

Re: Paradise, CA
Northern California RG #138 is the group from the Paradise/Chico area. I e-mailed the president, Randy Bullock, who lived in Paradise. At the time Randy had no info on other members who lived in the area, but Randy got out safely, but lost everything. Last year 8 of our members from RG#27 lost everything. It's not just the fact that they lost it all. You have no idea the difficulty that people have with local government when they want to rebuild their lives. Huge building permit fees, slow processing of the various permits, slow inspections on the various stages of the process, etc. Our good friends want to put up a new garage and they are being required to put in a charging station in the garage for and electric vehicle. Only in the state of California.

Re: Paradise, CA
MY experience is that I would NOT TRUST the Red Cross.
While in the Military they sent a fellow soldier home for an emergency and later Billed him for the expenses. Just my experience I dont want to start anything. |

Re: Paradise, CA
Saw on the news that yesterday a millionaire real estate developer showed up in nearby Chico Ca. with a suitcase full of checks made out to citizens and students of Paradise who had lost their homes. High schoolers got a thousand bucks each to help get back their clothes and personal belongings. As for the red cross, there's often a bad apple that shows up somewhere, but they are up there with my grandma and apple pie in my book.
