Default Looking for 1936 coupe fuel gauge.

I have a dead fuel gauge for my '36 coupe. It has red painted lines on the background, but my other gauges have brown painted lines, so I'd like to find a functioning gauge with brown painted lines if possible.

No luck via allfordparts.com in Campbell, CA.
No luck via southsideobsolete.com.

Does anyone have one? Or other vendors that I might try perhaps?

If worse comes to worse, perhaps I can have mine rebuilt. Any recommended vendors for this?

Thanks very much for your time.

Is yours a dual gauge or single gauge ?

Here this seller might have some left

FYI, I'm looking for the 'single' type of gauge.

(For a Standard model coupe.)

were you able to find a guage. I have a single gas guage for a 36 Ford, but the indicator lines for the am't of gas are red. The 35-36 ford book shows pictures for the types of guages but not in color. Maybe mine is for a pickup? Keep in mind that by May 1936 even standard vehicles were fitted with the combination gas/oil pressure units. terry

I'd try Fred at Southside Obsolete, he's been good to me over the years.

Are you sure it is the gauge or could it be the sender or a bad float on the sender.?

If post #7 doesn't solve the problem, nothing will.

I agree Seth. He's a good guy.
However, it appears the original poster already had reached out to him with no luck.

I see where in his first post he says no luck on Southside Obsolete web page. Fred later made a post claiming he had them. Sometimes these guys don't always have a complete inventory listed on line. That's why an email, text message or phone call is helpful. My two favorite vendors are Southside and Third Gen. Third Gen has had a rough go at it lately with a family issue, however he will get you what you need with some patience.

Whoops. I stand corrected. Thanks Seth.
