Mitchell Overdrive
Gentlemen, can anyone tell me if Mitchell Overdrive is still in business, I haven’t been able get a hold of anyone by e-mail or phone for the past several months, have a couple of units and had a question for them. Thank You

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
I've been on the waitlist since the start of the year. I used to check-in every now and then to see how long the wait was going to be, but after the third time it was extended another 30 days, I figured I'd wait until they contacted me. Haven't heard anything in a few months now, so I'm not sure if they're still swamped or where things stand.

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
They are indeed very much in business. Just received a synchro trans from them. My wait was almost exactly 6 months ---- they're busy. Here is the email that I used: [email protected]

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
IMO, the main reason there is such a long wait is that they are so good. We all know to go to the diner with lots of cars parked in front, not the one with none.

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
I spoke with Steve Mitchell last last week...yes, they are very much alive, just VERY busy. I had called about a specific question on my overdrive (in happy use for several years)...during the course of the conversation Steve indicated they are running about 6 months lead time these days...lots of reasons, mostly surrounding lack of ability to hire more staff

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
I just ordered mine last month. Steve told me that it will be 6 months. He talked my ear off and that was great. Got to know about his family history of Model A's, and the company history. Can hardly wait to get mine in my 31 Tudor. Lot of family history behind my car.

Re: Mitchell Overdrive
Had mine almost 15 years now, and just love it. I would not own a Model A without one……
