Default Wishbone ball cap felt

Where does the ball cap felt go? I'm installing an engine in my car and doing a bunch of general cleaning and repairing. There was no felt in the bell housing when I took it all apart and the Red Book doesn't mention it either. The chunk of felt that Snyder's sent me looks like it would just fold into a U-shape and sit in the hole above the ball casting... Am I warm?

it is held in place inside the clutch housing under the pin that holds the radius bolts.
