Floor board
Are there exact measurements for the floor board, specifically the hole to cut for the battery.

Re: Floor board
Brattons catalog had a drawing with the measurements, and a modification to allow removal of the battery.

Re: Floor board
There was at least one change to the battery service port during the model A production period. There were at least five different configurations for other cut outs and ways of manufacture. The type of wood or plywood was also in play as well as underfloor steel strap reinforcements. A lot depends on the year of manufacture and current configuration. The Volume 6 of the how to restore series is the best reference for the different configurations.
The ones available from restoration parts sources are mostly the later plywood configurations with cut outs for either the front of tower mounted E-brake or the right side mounted E-brake. The steel reinforcement straps are also available for at least one of the configurations. |

Re: Floor board
Most of the vendors carry a hold down for the optima, can't remember who I got mine from, but they fit real snug.
