roadside find - 47 ford super deluxe
my brother was driving down the road yesterday not far from where we live and spotted this 47 flathead along the road for sale. within a hour we had it on the trailer with smiles. story from the 85yr gentleman was he fetched it years ago in a barn in Michigan and had it shipped to florida where he lived. it sat there for another decade and then he moved to Pennsylvania and the car came with. he said he drove it 1x in Florida and he said he drove it out front to put a for sale sign on it. 2x in 20yrs he said! wow! after getting it home,we didn't know it was a super deluxe until we seen the emblem in the glove box! its a solid car and shows 61k orig. interior is getting little rough in a few spots and there is a stuck valve cyl #3. little work and we hope to drive it around this fall. possibly the orig owner in Michigan or someone close might notice this car and the story and add some info. I was told it belonged to a guy in michigan who had a construction/excavating gig and old cars were his hobby. that's I know.

That has 46 trim on it so it's an early 47.

Looks like a great find, but it seems like everyone one of these suffers from "DDS" (Droopy Doorhandle Syndrome).

ALSO FOUND THIS IN THAT RED POUCH! WHAT DOES IT REPRESENT? I BELIEVE ITS A HORN BUTTON?
 seems to be a army guy with wings on the helmet?
