Default 34 ford coupe trunk area photos please

Hi: I think I am missing some of the metal structure under the package tray, could someone post some photos from the trunk showing any of what I may be missing?

Randy: It appears from your photos and Bobs that there is no metal support structure supporting the package shelf. On my car the shelf is held in place by the two pieces of wood under the quarter windows (the shelf is screwed to the bottom of the side pieces) and the front of the drip tray has screws into the rear top edge of the package shelf. Is there a front wood board to the shelf which would keep things on the shelf?? Thanks for the photos!! Terry

You're right, the ends of the pkg. tray are attached to the qtr. window wood. The drip pan is attached to the top rear edge of the pkg. tray and is also supported by the rear window wood assembly. At the curved outer rear corners of the pkg. tray, there is a small matching radius wood piece on top of the pkg. tray that forms the bottom of the headliner in that area and would serve to keep things on the pkg. tray from falling into the trunk. There is nothing on the front edge, but there is usually a cloth bellows that would fill the gap between the back of the seat and the front of the pkg. tray while still allowing the seat to be adjusted. Hope this helps!

Here are some pics of the pkg. tray. The little curved blocks at the back corners of the pkg. tray are not present on this one for some reason. Randy

Randy: mine was like the above photos and without the blocks. I see there is a metal cover over the wood around the window regulator. THANK YOU for all the detail and photos! Terry

Yes, that metal cover keeps the grease from the gears off of the headliner material. Glad the pictures helped! Randy

Randy's right the front of tray has some space between it and the seat for adjustment, I had my tray covered during the upholstery and added snaps to the back of seat so I could unsnap to get in behind the seat.
