Re: Pertronix distributer kit
Try a bottle of Lagavulin instead. Not as high test, but better tasting.

Re: Pertronix distributer kit
I have a Pertronix 1 unit on my 32 Ford (flathead) that has not missed a beat since 1991.
I have a Helmet distributor using the original coil rewound to 12 volts, running thru the original under dash resistor. I also did this when Pertronix was known as Perlux. As there was no kit for the Helmet distributor, I machined the original points cam so that I could install the magnet ring ( I used a tool post grinder, as the cam is really hard). If I were to do it again, I would merely buy a "Lobe Sensor" Pertronix2 unit and install it myself. Very easy to do. Real easy if someone has a distributor machine. Skip Haney can do the coil if using the helmet distributor, otherwise just use a Pertronix coil. Jim |
