Will a 40 ford coupe seat fit in 36 coupe????if not does anyone have one setting around they would sell for a 36 coupe?????

I think it possibly could. Enclosed is a picture I took at the 2011 Ford V8 meet last August in Auburn, IN. The car is a '35 coupe and the seat is a '37-'38. Fits and looks "factory."

I just saw a nice one listed in the swap for sale section. I also just recently sold one that i had listed in my 'Early Ford V8 Parts 4 Sale Listing' here in the swap EFV8 for sale section. Carefully check through the for sale ads and maybe consider putting an ad in the wanted section. Might work for you.

A identical 36 coup seat can be made out of a sedan seat by cutting the base out as it is neer the same .The sides of the seat can be made out of ply with a frame of 1" wood across the back and bottom supporting it,

There is a Coupe seat for sale about page 4 or 5 of the For Sale ads. Search for 1935-36 parts.
