Default super brite tail lites

I have after market '39 Ford LED tail lites on my coupe...I am not happy with them as they are not bright enough imo...would like to hear from someone who is happy with so-called bright tail lights...thanks in advance...Buford.

I purchased some Super Bright bulbs for the tail lights on my 39 from Sacramento Vintage Ford and yes, they are a lot brighter that what I had, and of course this is 6 volt.

Buford, how is your ground on those tail lights?

Save your money. Paint the inside of the housings gloss white. MUCH BRIGHTER.

Do both. Buy the super brights for Sacrament Vintage Ford AND paint the inside of the light fixture gloss white. I did and am very pleased.

Here is a very thorough discussion of all options including stock incandescents, halogen, LED, and Sacramento Vintage Ford Super Brights and photographs of my light fixtures shining each: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67558

I guess some of you guys missed the fact that I already have LED tail lamps...you may know that most LED's are directional and that may be my problem...My tail lights don't have recess for a regular 1157 bulb and there is no room to paint these LED lights.
I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a better omni directional LED lamp assy that will fit where the '39 Ford style lamp was?

Here is what I bought (6 volt):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1938-1939-Fo...bf3a57&vxp=mtr

You will need to buy resistors as the thermal 6 v therm flasher needs to draw more juice.

IMHO - I drove with stock lights. I painted the core gloss white and it did make a difference. When driving at night, I also added snap on LED jogger (4 of them) lights to licence plates, cause I was concerned about being rear ended at night.

These new LED lights are much much brighter. There is no comparison.
