SoCal photos - back in the day
I posted these on the HAMB as well and I don't know if this is OK to post or not so mod's delete if its not. Anyway, I enjoyed these photos although those of you not from SoCal might not find all of them that interesting but sure do like the cars.

Notice how clean the air was then? I think that's my 39 Deluxe in the 1950's Los Angeles fire scene.

Re: SoCal photos - back in the day
Sorry about the bad link. I pasted what was sent to me and it worked for me but I have enough trouble keeping my 8ba running let alone this computer stuff.

Great pictures. Love the "old" cars when they were new!!! Also looks like traffic at the 4 way stops was a mess at times!! Thanks for posting.

Re: SoCal photos - back in the day
Love the pics. I am not familiar with the LA area but had sone familiarity with Newport Beach. One photo looking east from the Balboa Pavilion shows a thin line of houses along the Newport Beach/Laguna Beach shoreline. Today, the development extends way up the hill in the background. Here's a little trivia for you: When John Wayne landed on Normandy (in the movie which name I forget), it was actually Newport Beach.

Re: SoCal photos - back in the day
I grew up in the L.A. region and enjoyed the photos. I sent them on to friends that also lived there during that time. One friend answered that his wife saw her brother in one of the photos. How strange is that?
