Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke
Hydraulic clutch linkages are self adjusting. Has anyone installed a hydraulic clutch linkage in a Model A?

Here's an overview of the replacement adjusting arm.

Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke
Nice slide Bob but you need to do a flippy-moto on the new part.

Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke
Is the threaded portion strong enough to hold up (and not snap) over the long-haul? Thee (original type) trunions sometimes snap, and the car lunges forward with no clutch. The owner needs to quickly turn off the ignition to keep from hitting the car in front of them.

Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke
has anyone ever used one of these fully threaded units on the multi-disc clutch? I was recently disappointed when i noticed nobody sells a pre-Nov '28 version of this part - nor do they tell you in their catalog that what you're buying won't work on those cars.

Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke
Actually I'm having quite a rough go at this -- working alone. I first installed Brattons Clutch Release Shaft - Brattons P/N 11270. Now trying to mate this to Brattons P/N 11361. P/N 11270 is a tad longer thn original/ This is not a one-man job by far.
Has anyone used theses to P/N's together? |
