Default 1932 Sedan Rear Seat Frame

Anybody making a reproduction 1932 rear wood seat frame. I could probably make due with just the back section and not the base. But mine is beyond hammered on the back and dont even think I could make a decent pattern out of it to even try to have my own made. Any info or help thanks in advance

Both rear seat frames (and springs) are listed in LeBaron Bonney's current on-line catalogue.

The LB frames are excellent and reasonable in price.

Ok I checked out Lebaron Bonney and they do have them but I made mistake in first post. The base for my seat is fine but its the backrest thats hammered. Plus mine has the center armrest (I assume because its a deluxe unless they all had that) and there is no pic of the wood frame posted I can't tell if it will work or not. Mine has a pair of springs instead of 1 full length spring. Anybody have any experience with this or a good original backrest frame if the LB frame wont work? Thanks for any input guys

Alex, I don't recall ever seeing a rear center arm rest in a '32. I have used LB wood frames in the rear of my '32 Tudor. What body style are you working on? Pat

Well I've hot rodded (early Olds V8) it but have good original seats for the most part but the car is just a normal deluxe tudor sedan as far as I know. Cowl lights top insert and LHD. I dont see any reason it might be something special. I will go up to my storage garage and take some pics of the rear seats. The fronts and the backs appear to have whats left of the original mohair covering with some seat covers someone put on them God knows when. Like I said my back rest has 2 separate pair of springs (similar to the front buckets) but not a solid full length spring.

Ok heres some pics so you all dont think I'm crazy or full of shit. The coverings look original under the those burlap sack looking covers. You can see the backrest frame is hammered the burlap sack cover was the only thing holding it together. The bottom of the armrest looks like its covered it material similar to the top vinyl. Thoughts? Maybe something someone did aftermarket? The brackets that hold the armrest dont look homemade. Pics arent the best the lighting is kinda shitty back at the garage.

I kinda like the armrest whether it was factory or an aftermarket deal. So I'm just going to buy a LB frame and see if I can modify it to use the armrest.

While true that North American-built deluxe sedans did not have a center folding arm rest, the European Briggs-built deluxe saloons (sedans) did have such an arm rest. Perhaps that was the inspiration for this post-production seat back.
