Default 1940 Ford Pickup Interior Trim

I'm looking for the trim that hides the edges of the headliner and kick panels. Does any one know of a source? I am restoring to original so custom-hot rod interior bits probably won't work. I have checked all the usual suspects like CWMoss, Carpenter and Drake. No joy.
Thanks, in advance,
Scott

They have never been reproduced. I suggest you place an ad in the "wanted" section.
You can see the trim pieces above the door opening in my photo.
Be aware that the headliner was optional. If your truck did not get that feature when new, you will find you are missing the bracket in the center of the roof. My photo depicts the single screw that keeps the center of the headliner from bowing downward.

The front of the headliner simply pushes between the roof and header.

Buy a pair or two of the 1928-31 Tudor sedan drip rails. They have an outer and an inner (when installation is done right the inner is nailed to the body, the outer snaps on) Anyway, the inner aluminum is almost exactly the cross section for the 1932-47 pickup upholstery retainers. And no, the manufacturer does not sell just the inner.

Check with Micheal at Early Ford store in San Dimas CA. I gave him two pair of those strips that I had left over from doing my '40 truck. Yes, they are hard to find as they just got thrown away and/or rusted out.
