Default 28 roadster rumble seat bolts

Does anyone know the size of the bolts that hold the back rumble seat to the deck lid. My bolts are missing and I can not find them with any of our suppliers. Seat will not stay in place without them and I am to old to climb in back there.

If you're referring to the mounting of the seat back assembly to the inner rumble lid panel, there are (or should be) 4 clips/brackets on the base of the seat spring assembly The two clips on the top fit into slots in the inner deck lid, while the lower clips get screwed to the inner lid. A guy on VFF has basically the same problem as me. The bolts are basically 12-24 or 12-24 D from what I have read. Just need to locate bolts some where.

I would try boltdepot.com. I don’t know the head style you are looking for but they have a lot of 12-24 slotted screws available. I have used them for a few things and they may be able to help.

Are you asking about the seat cushion that mounts to the underside of the lid or the lid itself?

I do believe that Ford used pan or round head slotted screws for the lower retaining fasteners. I'm using screws that are about the same as used for some of the firewall clips. My rumble seat back cushion spring assembly has the lower attach flanges that have rather large slots in them. I had to use washers on the screws to give better support. The attach flanges are riveted on to the spring structure and are made of pretty thick metal. Bolts with a hex head in a 12-24 thread might be harder to source.

That kit is not for the back seat to rumble seat lid.
