Default Clutch Problem

Have a '31 Coupe. The gears shift ok but the clutch pedal is nearly completely out before the gears engage. Same situation for all gears. What do I need to adjust?

How much free-play do you have ? I'll kind of assume you have none. Should be 1.0-1.5".

One inch play at the top is the specification. Before you adjust the clutch, check the parts shown in the picture above for cracks. Push on the pedal to see if any cracks open up under pressure.

As said, check the components first, on my 28 the holes were flogged out oval and the pins were worn and stepped badly. All this allows the pedal to only partially actuate the clutch giving the result you’re discribing..All this must be right before adjustments are made.
