Default Fenton Headers

Fenton headers on a 1940 24 stud. One bolt will not thread. I give up. Not my car but doing an engine change for an elderly friend. I spent way too much time trying to get one bolt to thread. The design looks like the designer was on crack. POS Fenton headers they are...

Front bolts are 7/16-16, all the rest are 3/8-16. Welcome to Ford Flatheads.

I have 4 original amazing sets that will bolt up with zero issues.

This fellow may have a set of off shore knocks off. The instructions should read due to accumulated tolerances some adjustment is required.

7/16-14 is more likely not 7/16-16 if the thread size is the issue and not the alignment.

Ran into the same problem with engine holding [mount] exhaust plate-Some adjustment of holes required Newc

I have a set, bought from a swap meet, but new-ish looking, I assume speedway Chinese mfr, and they fit just fine. Got a rat tail file?
