Do you have the frame diagram? Would that be of any help? That would give you the mounting surface maybe.

And welcome to the Barn!!!

I am not sure I understand the question? The cross shaft is a bracket that bolts to the K member. What tip of the frame are you talking about. What are you trying to do? Here is a diagram for the frame in case you don't already have it: http://wescottsauto.com/WebCatalog/T...iagram1932.pdf

And, welcome to the Barn.

Your keeping us guessing here, are you working with a stock frame? In which case the bolt holes in the frame should determine the location. Are you construction a frame? One last question, what is your definition of "tip of the frame", which tip and in what direction?

Now that I think about it this is a rather interesting guessing game!

Ok, now that we have which tip, what part of the tip, top, bottom, center ... Problem is it's a curved surface and not parallel to much of anything. Going to be hard to get a very precise measurement AND I would doubt that a repo frame would match up very well with an original anyway. It may be a little difficult to end up with what you need. Is there a reason you need the tip of the frame? Another landmark might work better.

If this is going to be a none flathead installation there might be better resources for what you are looking for.

The pedal assembly bolts to the K-member, the diagram posted above provides the dimensions to the K-member. So all that is left (assuming you don't have an original set of pedals) is the distance from the front face of the K-member to the centerline of the pedal assembly, correct?
