1929 Cabriolet Deck lid handle
In the process of trying to resurrect a battered, frozen, deck lid handle for a '29 Cabriolet (this is a Crown scroll handle), to get the handle apart, I had to break up the old cylinder. Was able to find another Crown cylinder # F 606 out of a door handle (not a scroll type, but rather out of a locking coupe door handle) which fits into the scroll handle but when you put it together with the clip and the slide bar, the cylinder (with the key inserted) rotates 360 degrees! What is supposed to limit the rotation of the cylinder to 180 degrees? Is something broken or missing from the handle or the cylinder?

I don't believe the scroll handle was original on any trunk or rumble lid in 29
