Default 1949 ford dash board knobs

Hey guys/gals I am attempting to remove the dash on my 1949 ford, however I am having a problem maybe someone can help. Most of the cable lines are chrome and simply unscrew. Others are plastic and do not unscrew. For example the vent pulls ( under the steering column) choke are plastic and I do not know how to remove them. Is there a special tool?

There may be a thin nut on the backside of the dash that holds the knob in place. You will also have to unhook the vent cable from the vent and it all comes out as one assembly. Be careful because these cables are not remanufactured. If you need any parts contact Chris at Shoebox Central (405-259-9222) and he will help you out.
