53 Ranchwagon wiring
Anyone dealt with tail light wiring on a 53 Ranchwagon? I see how it is routed, but not sure how to get at it. It goes into the left kick panel which is metal non removable. Goes down into the rocker panel, which is not open, but only a couple of open slots where I can see the wire bundle held in with clips. Then goes back to the tail lights. Any advice on installing a new harness with the same routing? Thanks..Tommy

Re: 53 Ranchwagon wiring
Electricians use 'messenger strings'. Generally when removing old wiring a 'pull string' is attached to the end of the old wires and used to pull in the new wiring. There even is a safe electrical lube for those new wires. Worst case a steel wire is pushed thru the existing void. Sometimes a 'mouse' is blown thru with air or sucked thru with vacuum. The 'mouse' has a pull string attached. Help? Newc

Re: 53 Ranchwagon wiring
You need to remove the left front fender. I did this on my 52 merc. No other way to do it.
