Re: 31 roarster seat help
I am trying to do the same thing for my early 29 phaeton seats, which I think are pretty much the same as a standard 31 roadster. I know Marco upholstered some cushions for himself and a few others, but he isn't doing them any more. The looked perfect. I don't know if there is an upholsterer that installs the covering like Marco did that does an authentically job. I upholstered the seat recently for my 28 special coupe, but they had a wood frame that made it much easier to do. The tough areas on open cars, as I am sure you know, is forming the crease in the cushion and installing the metal channel around the bottom. If you find an upholsterer that can do an authentic job, please post it here on Fordbarn. I will do the same if I find one.

First question: are you working on a standard or deluxe? The upholstery is quite different. Next: visit Marco's website - www.abarnyard.com There you will find many, many pics and explanations on the details of the highest point model A ever judged - Marco's deluxe roadster! If that doesn't answer all of your questions come back with specific questions and we'll try to answer them.
