VIN NUMBER Where is the VIN number on the frame Is the splash apron covering it ? I have checked the engine number but it appears that the engine was changed over the years as the Title has a different number Thanks

Model A's do not have a VIN. They used the engine number and it was also stamped on the top of the frame, drivers side about where your foot goes. You need to lift the body to view this number. In the old days, if you got a new engine, you were supposed to get the number changed on the title but didn't always happen.

I know I am way too picky about this but it is VIN not "VIN Number". VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number. So VIN Number would be Vehicle Identification Number Number.
As stated by others the Model A only had a sequential Engine Number which was also stamped on the frame. Most state DMVs will use the Engine number as the VIN. Bob |
