Post How to install shifter plate cover

Picked up a new shifter plater cover for the floorboard this afternoon and the attachment plates. My existing plate is a sheet of tin screwed to the floorboard. Does anyone have a picture of the setup for this. The rivets don't look long enough to go through the floorboard.

TinCup,

Judging by your avatar, I'm guessing you have a 30-31 Model A. But, here are a couple photos of an unrestored mid-1929 Fordor, which has the emergency brake lever in front of the gearshift instead of to the side as a 30-31. Maybe these will help anyway.

Dave: Are those(2) hold-down tabs stock, or do you just cut a couple pieces of sheet metal to an appropriate size? Bruce

As I tell people the firewall is late 31 only God knows about the rest. Will the rivets reach thru the floorboard?

There are three hold-down tabs.
The photos are of an unrestored Model A, so the parts are original assembly line items, not something I made.

By the way, the flash makes it difficult to tell, but the rivet heads are underneath the floorboard with the upset end of the rivets on the top, or tab side. Hope that's clear.
