1932 Gas Tank Sending Unit
I have a reproduction gas tank.
It has a reproduction sending unit for my 12 volt set up. The gauge reading used to be accurate, though is not anymore. I just pulled the tank & the sending unit is rusty; yay. My ohm meter reads MORE when in the empty position & LESS in the full position. When I tested it to the gauge; it is inconsistent with the gauge reading. And so....I feel I need to buy a new sending unit. Any suggestions on where to buy a decent quality one? CW Moss seems to have one for $50 that may be fine. And...just to confirm...the gauge grounds via being screwed onto the tank and the tank grounds via the drivers side mounting bolts; right? Thanks!
