Default 1932 Roadster - Trunk Lid Bumpers

Are there 4 total?
2 on the Upper Corner Brackets and...
2 on the Lower Rear Facing Section?

Opposed to ONLY 2 if a Trunk OR 2 if a Rumble?

And...
The Trunk Lid DOES use weatherstripping; right?

Thanks!

On a trunk there are only bumpers on the lower tray and on a rumble only on the upper corners. I've never used weatherstripping on any of the deuces I've built.

There should be rain gutters around the edges that drain into the back area. No need for weather strips.

The above comments are right. It would be nice to have weatherstrip as a lot of air comes in the trunk and then out around the seat. It is hard to plug all the holes.
I have seen builders extend the gutters and build a ledge so it is harder for water to get in the trunk. I always put everything in garbage bags if rain is possible.

Cars that were originally rumble and converted to trunk might have the upper bumpers, they will not hurt (or help).

Aggressive weather stripping can cause fitting issues of the lid. What seems to work best is the universal "d" self stick attached to the inverted gutter on the lid, seals on the lip of the rain gutter when down, and still allows the rain gutter to function as a gutter.

Its fairly easy to seal the gutters up and add drain hoses, or add a dam across the floor to control water runoff.

Ford did start using more scupper drains but it was probably a year or two later than 1932.

I assume the D-type weather seal referred to is shaped like a D. We use D shaped extruded rubber seal material that is hollow on the inside for some aviation applications on doors & such. Some of the new stuff is silicon based rubber foam & extrusion and works really well but it is just too damn expensive.
