Tool Kit Tools? (with bonus acorns)
Under the seat of my '31 SW, I found the original jack with handle, the engine crank/lug wrench, and a bunch of other random tools that were definitely not original to the car. There were a ton of acorns under there, but I think that a previous resident left those.
I also found the pictured tools. Are these original to the Model A tool kit at all? I know the adjustable wrench normally has a squared off end to the handle for the differential drain plug, but this one is pretty close to the overall look. It is at least period I think. What about the wrenches? Thanks for looking! -Blake |

Check out Don Turley's site (donturley.com). Good info/pics regarding tools, jacks, etc.

Re: Tool Kit Tools? (with bonus acorns)
None of those items pictured are Model A issue [ except maybe the smallest wrench if it has an encircled M with 2 digit number, no Ford script or USA]] but are the sort of extra tools commonly found with old cars when the original issue ones were lost.
You have the jack plus other original looking tools on the running board. Unless the tool items were never opened , they were usually lost over time or kept by subsequent owners. Hold back on trying to gather a 'display' kit [ I have been there] but show to anyone interested just what items it has survived with. Tom. |

The acorns buffered everything to where it wouldn't rattle anymore.

I think part of the fun of getting a new-old car is finding all that sort of stuff when you clean it out..
You hit the Mother Lode...what a collection... Mine was just full of apricot seeds.... |
