29 trunk question
I'm in the process of fitting a deck lid onto a 1929 model A Coupe. The deck lid appears to be original. The deck lid has a crown in it going from drivers to passenger side. Is this normal? The trunk won't open because the deck lid is crowned and the panel in front of it is flat. I don't know if the deck lid is supposed to be flat or the panel in front of it is supposed to be crowned.
Thanks for the help. Aaron |

Re: 29 trunk question
I have a 28 special coupe which has an identical trunk lid and panel above the lid as a 29 coupe. I just checked my trunk and there is a crown on both the trunk lid and the panel above the lid. Do you have an original panel above the lid and are sure the lid is original? Both should have a decent crown and match each other, I would estimate the crown to be about a 3/8" in the middle.
