Re: Winter project "dog house".
With a dog house like that...I would get into trouble all the time! Great cars! I would like to see a side view of the new project.

Re: Winter project "dog house".
More like dog hotel than dog house. With that kind of room I could be away for days.

Re: Winter project "dog house".
I know what you mean about ju...uh, stuff. There is an old store building nearby, that I use for that. Somehow word got out that there was an idiot in Trinity, Alabama that would buy A and T parts. I didn't pass up many deals. That building filled up in a hurry. About time to liquidate and start over!

Re: Winter project "dog house".
Thanks Frank. A late '14 original Screenside Delivery T (it's not in the picture very well but it's my avatar), '26 TT mostly original Stakebed, '28 A Tudor (restored), '29 A Roadster Pickup Rod, '41 Farmall H (restored), '39 original Ford Deluxe Coupe, and an almost finished '57 Bel Air Convertible. I like the old Fords the best though. The AA in the picture belongs to my Dad, and we are looking forward to it's restoration.

Re: Winter project "dog house".
Have you guys checked out Ryans other site "Garage Journal"? There are some gougious examples of well put together workshops with loads of ideas from OCD organizers. Just figured I would point it out in case you were looking for ideas on all that empty wall space. Link is at the bottom of this site.
I'm planning to put my own up this summer for the A, wife permitting, and signed up to that site for ideas. Except its easy to get carried away. What started as a 1 car glorified shed has evolved into a 2 car, multi-story + workshop space that I will NEVER get through my zoning board (or the wife). LOL Bob, NJ |

Re: Winter project "dog house".
Thanks, I will check it out. The area the cars park in is sheetrock, painted, and trimmed out. I plan on nothing but old signs, clocks, and license plate to cover it. The other walls are pegboard, and for right now covered with the '57 Bel Air (car at the end) parts to be assembled. When it's finished, I will have much more wall space.

Re: Winter project "dog house".
The dog house WAS my winter project. I have a 29 Roadster pickup street rod in the works, but some parts are at the plater and not due to be finished until late Feb. The street rod was a mid 80's build, and was showing wear and some mechanical issues. I took out the V-6 and dropped in a built 327. Can't wait to finish this one. (For all the purist like me, it's all fiberglass and no A's were harmed in the making). The AA will be an ongoing project for a while as my Dad's budget allows. It's his truck and his project, I am just his "trainer" with A's.

Re: Winter project "dog house".
Well...I'm more'n a little jealous, Scott...way more! Very nice, sir...throw you a four poster lift in there and you'll be set. Just need a little section with a kitchenette, a couple of easy chairs, TV, 'fridge, a toilet, and a shower stall...and I'll be right over. I'll even bring the beer...!
Very nice, indeed...I like it..a lot!!
