Oil filter lid gasket
My 41 24 stud engine has a filter mounted on the left head and the lid has a small round gasket inside. Anyone know where to find a new one?

Don't new gaskets not still come with the filters?

Oh yeah, I am sure the suppliers would charge extra for that. I remember that Fram used to include them with their filters.

Thanks for the filter numbers, just got my new engine in. I will head to the parts store and see if I can get another. I appreciate it.

Hey Mark, To get a picture in the corner of your post go to "USER CP" in the bar at the top of this page and click on it. There you will see "EDIT AVATAR". Click on that and download a pic from your computer. Took me a long time to figure out what an Avatar was (they don't exist here in Arkansas!). Dennis

Re: Oil filter lid gasket
Yes, I have owned this car since 1965 when I bought it from the original owner. I drove this car to the last year of high school and the first two semesters of college. It was 150 miles from home to college and about 75 of this was Interstate. I always ran posted speeds (70 + MPH) and she never gave me any problems.
I am currently doing a complete frame off on her. I had the frame powder coated (60% gloss black) and now have the wheels on her and am beginning to put back the smaller parts prior to beginning the body.
