model T hand cranks claw's
Is there a difference in hand cranks claw's?..I ask because mine is missing.. I purchased my car not running "with the promise that it run's". the car is a 1923 model T touring with a engine # stamped indicating 1925. (that's if i checked the engine # correctly) i only noticed the the claw was missing when i could not get the hand crank to engage the crank. I'm a rookie at this so all the help i can get is greatly appreciated. P.S. don't worry my ego doesn't bruise easily. I'm learning.

Re: model T hand cranks claw's
There are a lot of us NU2theT here on Fordbarn, some very good folks will help you out along the way here.
You need a ratchet 3906 that is for all years 1909-27, I'm cleaning up my parts as part of my cam replacement. Langs has a 390KIT starting crank rebuilding kit I am using it includes crank sleeve/pin/spring and handle spring. Last edited by 39portlander; 04-15-2018 at 06:02 PM. |

Re: model T hand cranks claw's
What I forgot to mention and what IS different are the crankshaft pulleys, pin 3040 is for the 3" pulley 1909-16.
3040B is a 3 1/2" starting pin for the larger pulley 1917-27. |
