how about this fully accessorized manifold?
i found this looking thru my junk pile the other day. this guy had it all going for him, note the hollow bolt at the fuel pump for oil filter return, then theres the southwind heater gizmo on the carb bowl, then theres not one, but two stacked vacuum port plates under the carb, a single outlet to the front, and the dual line sticking out the back. this dual thing is a new one to me, anyone know what its for?

Re: how about this fully accessorized manifold?
As, I'll take a stab at this, although just a guess on the ports: I think the front port may be for a Columbia, and the double rear ports perhaps for a return line from the Southwind. The carb has an internal vent, leading me to believe it may be a model 59, however, the oil filter return line to the pump stand was replaced during the 1940 model year by the return located at the distributor bolt.

The single one looks like the std southwind heater.
And the dual one is probably a topoiler. |
