Re: Reworked Fuel Pumps for Today's Fuel
Mike,
It's not a big rework to provide corngas proof fuel pumps....the big deal is the diaphragm. For whatever it is worth I manufacture my own diaphragms from mili- tary grade viton which will pump all sorts of vicious fluids quite well. The non phenolic valves can be a problem since some were made from urethane and won't live long in an ethanol environment. Charlie ny |

Re: Reworked Fuel Pumps for Today's Fuel
Some of the Carter pumps are the GEAR type which will not allow the Ford pumps to draw fuel through them. Just a thought. kx

Re: Reworked Fuel Pumps for Today's Fuel
Previously, I had stated "Daytona Carburetor" as the source for American made, ethanol proof parts.
It is supposed to be"DAYTONA PARTS", just as Charlie NY pointed out. Here is the complete information. Quality USA made Ethonol proof carburetor and fuel pump parts are available at: DAYTONA PARTS CO. 1191 Turnbull Bay Rd. New Smyrna Beach, Fl 32168 www.DaytonaParts.com [email protected] 386-427-7108 |

Re: Reworked Fuel Pumps for Today's Fuel
I got my e proof diaphragms from Ray Helgers in RI. The pumps are very simple to rebuild. 401 635 4849
