I have 2 of those drums that I've listed for sale.
I do not have a micrometer.
Originally they were 11 inches. These measure 11 and 1/16 inch.
Does anyone know how far over they probably are. Do you think they may have been turned too far?
Thanks, Neil

Thanks Mitch, If I understand correctly, this old style of casting drums will wear out more quickly and become unsafe at that point???? are they safe up until that point? or should they be replaced sooner?

11 1/16 would be turned .0625", and I'd run them with no problem.

Your wheels will cover the exposed area. No problem, they were standard issue by Ford late 31.

Ok I see now in the pictures, I was thinking of them as cooling holes. My late 31 doesn't have them Nov 1931. Maybe I should put them on my ever growing list :-) So the holes are for rotational weight saving?

I have 12 inch on my coupe. they really stop the car. I understand they are 1932's. I have had no problem with them, even in the rain. Just came that way when I bought the car. guess a prior owner wanted to have the fronts do most of the braking, not a bad plan, I have heard. 11 inch stock on the back. I'd love to find a pair for the front that were turnable.
