I have been scouring eBay for several months now for a correct or even close looking air cleaner for a stock '32 V8 engine. Has anyone found a similar alternative for another make of car? Many thanks Keith

Scrounge swap meets like Hershey, etc. Two things happen: Either guys know what they have and charge for it or you'll find it in a $1 pile. I'm not kidding.

I paid $10 and did not haggle. The seller wanted to know what it fit and I could not bring myself to tell him. I also bought a tall coil that was being used on a distributor tester. $1

Living in the UK with a passion for 32's has its challenges, sadly it would be a lifetime search over here!

I feel your pain. And then when you do find it on Ebay freight ,customs charges and exchange rates bankrupt you or the seller refuses to ship to you. I'm searching for an original Air cleaner for my 1934 either the original or accessory oil bath would be fine -so far no joy . There is one on ebay but he wants over US$ 200 for it plus almost that again in postage . I found some on the Early V8 Club Classifieds but the mention of New Zealand meant I never heard back from the seller -I guess to much work to post to me -His loss because I could have used my US forwarding address . I shall keep looking -Karl

The 34's are pretty easy to get. They are usually dented up as the metal is really thin. They used the same ones thru 37 I think.
I just sent some stuff to NZ so if anybody is interested, It was as easy as going to the PO.

Try The Early Ford Store in San Dimas,CA.He has lots of nice orig '32 parts.909-305-1955.
