Am I missing something?
Is this a supply chain issue or are mounts this much lol. I guess this guy is rich if he sold 883 at this price. I looking for a set to use on a run stand I’m building. I’ve heard Drakes mounts bolts are too short, so where can I get a decent set?, if the spare motor proves good I’m going to swap it into my ‘41 and I figure I will install new motor mounts.

Re: Am I missing something?
Depending on the year of application, what you have heard about the length of the bolts with the Drake insulators is incorrect. What the Drake kit comes with is the B-prefix bolt, which is correct for '32-at least '37 front motor mounts. The longer bolt is for the rear transmission mounting bracket starting in '37.
I'll better alchemy's offer with 90% off. |

Re: Am I missing something?
Probably out of stock and doesn't want close the listing while waiting for stock; ebay store kind of thing.
I used to buy CE mounts from Gearhead; but one day they sent their own imported version; kind of soft and squishy material; sent them back after a little discussion (they still used pictures of CE mounts in their listing) and went back to getting the mounts from CE. |

Exactly what Rich said. Many eBay sellers do this when items are out of stock just to keep the listing active until they get more. If somebody is ever desperate enough to buy at these prices, the seller would likely go out their way to locate some for them!! If you look at the sold prices on that auction they have ranged from $34.87 in January to $39.87 recently. The seller just added $1000 to the last price to keep the auction active until they're back in stock. - Last edited by Randy in ca; 05-14-2022 at 02:15 AM. |

Re: Am I missing something?
For a run stand you needn't be too concerned about vibration. I would just use some thick rubber and not bolt the engine too tightly to the stand. You could fab for a few dollars I think.
